Fortrea is seeking a Revenue Manager to join our Customer Facing Finance team. This role, in one of our key global hubs, leads a team of finance professionals in supporting revenue recognition for one or more of our global Business Units. In this role, you will identify and action initiative to enhance operating profit. Opportunity areas could involve better pricing, profit mix, processes, or resource management. In this role, you will be responsible for proactive and regular communications with Customer Facing Finance leadership and Business Unit business partners around anticipated/actual financial results. On a monthly, quarterly, annual or as requested basis, you will be responsible for providing analysis of the historical financial results with particular emphasis on opportunities areas or mitigation strategies to drive more positive business performance. You will manage global revenue recognition processes for one or more global Business Units, providing leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring of team responsible for execution of those processes.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Directly supervise Revenue team including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and discipline of staff.
Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team by ensuring appropriate training and career development programs are in place supporting appropriate career progression
Foster a culture aligned with Fortrea’s core values
Manage and coordinate all activities related to global revenue recognition for one or more Global Business Units according to the month-end closing calendar.
Manage and coordinate all forecasting and related metrics activities for ongoing projects according to the mid-month estimate calendar.
Develop and maintain scalable, flexible, systematic, and automated processes that can evolve with business needs and expectations.
Prepare, review and/or approve project/study reconciliations and related adjustments
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
BS in Accounting or Finance required.
MBA degree in Finance or related field or professional certification preferred.
Experience (Minimum Required):
8-10 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility. Must include financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of presentations for senior management.
Strong analytical abilities. Ability to coordinate, collaborate and gather relevant information for effective analysis. Ability to bridge understanding of detailed results with big picture strategy and direction.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multiple organizational and professional levels in a global matrix environment. Excellent written and oral communications skills across all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently where success depends upon appropriate use of judgment, initiative, innovation, and strategic thinking.
Project management experience.
Team oriented, ability and willingness to manage processes, and supervise & develop others.
Intermediate to advanced use of Excel and MS Office. High level of proficiency in the use of PC and applicable software, including relational database manipulation and ERP systems (Workday preferred).
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Experience in a company with international operations.
Experience reengineering processes.
Strong preference for CRO or professional services experience.
