Ultahost is seeking an experienced and detail-focused ICANN Domain Compliance Manager to oversee all domain-related operations, abuse handling, registrar compliance, and automation initiatives. This role is critical in maintaining our status as a trusted global domain provider, ensuring that we meet all ICANN policies and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable ICANN regulations (RAA, RA, consensus policies)
- Manage and resolve domain abuse cases, WHOIS inaccuracy complaints, UDRP/URS disputes, and law enforcement requests
- Oversee technical integrations with registries and registrars, including EPP connections, DNSSEC implementation, and RDAP compliance
- Improve automation systems for domain provisioning, DNS record management, lifecycle operations (renewals, expirations, grace periods), and registrar communication flows
- Own and manage ICANN audit preparation, reporting, and communications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, engineering, support, and infrastructure teams on compliance, abuse handling, and registrar policy enforcement
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of domain workflows, compliance procedures, and abuse escalation paths
- Monitor and adapt to evolving ICANN policy changes, including updates on registry agreements, data escrow, GDPR/WHOIS, and security frameworks
Requirements:
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- 3+ years of experience working with domain registrars, ICANN compliance, or domain lifecycle management
- Deep understanding of ICANN policies, abuse handling, WHOIS/RDAP standards, and domain dispute processes
- Familiarity with registrar platforms, APIs, and automation tools
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in a hosting, registrar, or DNS-driven environment is preferred
- ICANN Certificate is a plus.
