We are seeking a highly proficient English-speaking Junior Backend Developer with strong foundations in JavaScript and TypeScript to join our growing engineering team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining backend systems, as well as automating and refining legal and financial document templates that are critical to our clients in capital markets and financial services.
This role requires both precision and creativity: precision to ensure legal and financial documents meet the highest standards of accuracy and creativity to build scalable backend solutions in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Write, maintain, and improve backend code in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js).
- Template Automation: Develop and update automated legal/financial document templates with strict attention to accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all backend systems and document outputs are error-free and meet client specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, internal teams, and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in both backend code and document automation logic.
- Continuous Learning: Build expertise in modern backend practices (cloud, CI/CD, testing) and legal document automation tools.
Candidate Profile
Education & Language
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) – CEFR C2 / IELTS >7.0 / TOEFL iBT >100 (or equivalent).
Technical Skills
- Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript and object-oriented programming.
- Some experience with backend development (Node.js or similar).
- Exposure to production or live environments (academic, internship, or professional).
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic testing/debugging.
- Advantageous: Experience with SmartDX or other legal document automation platforms; knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases; exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Terms & Benefits
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Contractor
