What you'll do
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for executing mechanical maintenance activities in our Industrial Testing Facilities. Your primary focus will be on the inspection, assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and other mechanical systems essential to our operations. This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and strong familiarity with tools, technical documentation, and workshop safety standards.
Your work will directly enable high-quality data acquisition, which plays a crucial role in refining our AI models. By ensuring that all mechanical systems are operating reliably and consistently, you’ll contribute to the generation of clean and repeatable datasets used for machine learning and predictive analytics. You’ll be responsible for the mechanical integrity and operational readiness of the equipment used in various internal tests and validation procedures.
You’ll also work closely with our testing and data science teams to support accurate and reliable sensor data collection through the mechanical integrity of test setups. While your focus will remain strictly mechanical, your contribution is essential to the consistency and quality of experimental environments. This position requires hands-on experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and a solid understanding of best practices for safe and efficient mechanical work, ensuring that all physical systems operate at peak reliability throughout testing cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial rotating equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, and repair mechanical components following technical manuals, maintenance standards, and internal procedures.
- Support the assembly, alignment, and mechanical setup of test benches and machines used in industrial testing environments.
- Operate and interpret results from diagnostic tools such as vibration analyzers, shaft alignment tools, and thermal cameras to identify faults and ensure proper machine condition.
- Use a variety of workshop tools, including drills, grinders, bench grinders, and other fabrication or machining tools, to support repair and setup tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure equipment is mechanically sound for safe and consistent test execution.
- Maintain clear documentation of maintenance activities, including failure reports, parts replaced, and recommendations for future interventions.
- Follow safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and best practices in mechanical maintenance at all times.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, especially with rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, and gearboxes.
