Job Summary
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will play a critical role in validating the reliability, performance, and accuracy of a Master Data Management (MDM) platform and its integrations. Focused on customer preference and consent data, this role involves building robust test automation, conducting performance testing, and ensuring data quality across systems. The ideal candidate brings experience in backend or data-focused testing environments, strong technical skills in Python or Java, and a deep understanding of modern MDM and customer data practices. Collaboration across engineering, data, and marketing teams is essential to drive quality in systems that directly impact business operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for MDM integrations and customer preference data pipelines
Design and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python or similar languages
Execute manual and automated test suites for validating data accuracy, completeness, and consent workflows
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure scalability of Reltio and integrated systems
Implement data quality validation for matching algorithms and cleansing routines
Collaborate with engineering and data governance teams to understand workflows and integration points
Identify and implement tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage across data systems
Qualifications and Job Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, preferably focused on backend or data systems
Proficiency in Python, Java, or another programming language
Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
Understanding of MDM concepts, customer data management, and consent data flows
Familiarity with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS) and SQL
Knowledge of API testing and validation methodologies
Strong analytical and communication skills
Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and reliability
