As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in validating and certifying Android Automotive software for in-vehicle infotainment systems. Your responsibilities will include executing road and bench testing, leading tuner calibration efforts, and supporting certification processes (CarPlay, Android Auto, GAS). You’ll interface with the validation team, act as a communication bridge with the client, and contribute to QA documentation and automation. This position is onsite in São Bernardo do Campo and offers the opportunity to work with a global client on cutting-edge automotive technologies.

This project empowers automotive OEMs to provide modern, connected in-car experiences by integrating Android Automotive OS. It enables scalable infotainment systems that support media, connectivity, and navigation, while reducing software fragmentation.
Job Description
- Execute road and bench testing of Android Automotive infotainment systems
- Lead tuner calibration and performance validation
- Support certification of CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google Automotive Services (GAS)
- Collaborate with Brazil-based validation teams and global stakeholders
- Develop and maintain test plans, scripts, and QA documentation
- Log, reproduce, and track defects using Jira
- Perform firmware flashing, regression testing, and compatibility checks
- Ensure firmware compliance with automotive standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software or firmware testing
- Hands-on experience with Android Automotive OS and infotainment validation
- Familiarity with Python, JUnit, and automation testing tools
- Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware-software integration
- Experience with certification processes (CarPlay, Android Auto, GAS is a plus)
- Skilled in defect tracking (e.g., Jira) and version control (e.g., Git)
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
Would be a plus:
- Experience with firmware debugging tools and mobile app traffic analyzers (e.g., Charles Proxy, Burp Suite)
- Knowledge of CI/CD and embedded QA best practices
