We are looking for an Upgrades Project Engineer to join our Services team, with a primary focus on supporting the Brazilian market and occasional collaboration across the Southern Cone. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support during the sales and implementation phases of upgrade projects, with a strong emphasis on processing solutions within the food and beverage industry.
You will play a key role in developing tailored engineering proposals and quotations, ensuring alignment with customer needs and Tetra Pak’s Upgrades portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, global environment, contributing to complex and customized solutions that drive operational efficiency and sustainability for our customers.

The position is based in Monte Mor, São Paulo, Brazil.
You will be traveling 10 % of your time to our customer sites.

What you will do
As a Upgrades Project Engineer you will:
- Be responsible for providing technical/engineering expertise in designing Upgrades solutions that require deep knowledge and being the main supplier contact to specify components and define services (drawings and installation) during the quotations;
- Lead project engineering quotation for:
- Customized solutions for Tetra Pak and non-Tetra Pak equipment;
- “Standard” Upgrades for Key Components or installed equipment;
- Customers’ requests for quotations (RFQ) for Upgrades developed by Global Business Units or local with focus on Food Safety, Operational Efficiency or Production Capability;
- Automation revamping or automation of the installed base;
- Water, utilities, and energy consumption reduction for new projects or current installed base.
- Lead the engineering process in the implementation phase up to the final acceptance;
- Support Services Sales Team along the sales process, providing technical analysis, value proposition, and customer presentations, according to a pre-defined scope of offering aligned to customers’ needs.
- Follow up the quote throughout the process by tracking open proposals and capturing new business opportunities;
- Support in providing information on product performance, new trends and technologies in the industry, competitor analysis, and collection of this information to disperse to the Sales and Portfolio Teams.
We believe you have
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience;
- Experience in designing upgrades solutions;
- Experience in Processing Equipment Projects;
- Food industry experience would be valuable.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong communication in English both written and verbal is mandatory.
