Role and Responsibilities:
- Support compliance with local and international data privacy laws (e.g., LGPD, GDPR), monitor regulatory changes, and assess their impact on the organization;
- Participate in audits, data mapping, privacy risk assessments, and the execution of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs);
- Assist in managing data breaches, handling data subject rights requests (e.g., SARs), redacting sensitive information, and drafting formal responses to internal and external privacy inquiries;
- Help develop and implement privacy policies, data retention and deletion protocols, and review third-party contracts from a privacy perspective;
- Deliver privacy training, support awareness initiatives, respond to internal stakeholder inquiries, and provide general guidance on privacy matters;
- Perform administrative tasks for the Privacy Office, maintain compliance records, and generate reports based on privacy metrics to support ongoing monitoring.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law;
- 1–2 years of experience working with Privacy and Data Protection topics;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese;
- Proactive, autonomous, and adaptable, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, cultures, and levels of seniority, both internally and externally.
Desirable qualifications
- Data privacy qualifications such as CIPP/E, CDPO/BR or EXIN;
- Familiarity with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), and privacy risk assessments.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Jira & Intercom;
- Solid knowledge of key data protection regulations and frameworks, especially LGPD and GDPR;
- Understanding of data processing operations, including basic knowledge of information systems, data flows, and organizational data protection needs.
