The Supplier Quality Specialist ensures the quality and reliability of materials, components, and services provided by suppliers. This role focuses on evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality standards and support production needs.
- Assess and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct supplier audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to requirements.
- Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and update supplier quality documentation and reports.
- Support the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers through evaluations and approvals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with specialization in manufacturing processes for metallic components such as laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, and assembly.
- Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in manufacturing operations involving sheet metal and welded structures.
- Strong knowledge of planning and quality control tools, including design reviews, process audits, control plans, and statistical studies.
- Proven experience in applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Availability for up to 40% travel.
