What You Will Be Doing?
- Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting to meet internal and external reporting requirements
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong financial control environment in line with group requirements. This includes closing out any findings from internal/external audits and monthly control process.
- Owner of the period ends financial close process including closing the general ledger, meeting reporting deadlines and balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible to lead all aging balance transaction resolution.
- Responsible for Fixed Asset management and reporting including supporting fixed asset counting process
- Provides support to Inventory management process and physical inventory counts, as needed. Approves and signs off on yearend physical inventory count.
- Responsible for Tax process , reporting, filing and compliance, as per governmental requirements. Work closely with LAC Tax director.
- Responsible for all statutory process as per government requirements
- Owns the local relationship with external auditors and works closely with group reporting and internal audit function to ensure any issues are quickly resolved
- Safeguards company’s assets and ensures that overall accounting business transactions and procedures are performed adequately in compliance with IFRS and Brazilian (GAAP), Group Finance Manual (GFM), and other local authorities and government agencies.
- Develops SOP’s and simplifies data management/analysis.
- Participate and Support global transformations and projects related with Controllership area
- Support and work closely with GBS team for Month end activities and control compliance.
- Any other ad hoc controllership activities
What will you need to be successful?
- Degree in Accounting, finance or Business Administration .
- Post-graduate degree in business management/administration or equivalent is advantageous.
- Relevant industry experience is advantageous, ideally in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals.
- Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English. Spanish will be considered as a plus.
- Ability to work with, and drive the entire commercial organization locally/regionally. Influence, and at times coach.
- Ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously and process complex data to generate relevant insight.
