Summary: Freight Forwarding Trainee
The Freight Forwarding Trainee supports the daily operations of the department by assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining an organized and compliant filing system, and delivering professional, customer-focused service. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience in logistics while contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Charge out files.
- Enter full job details into CargoWise based on the expected/agreed handling process.
- Request CE Merchant Release for import sea shipments.
- Transmit ISF files in CW1 based on department-aligned procedures.
Customer Service
- Work closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines.
- Maintain effective and consistent communication with customers.
- Be proactive in identifying and addressing problems.
Administration
- Support general office administration tasks.
- Maintain an effective and organized filing system in line with company processes.
Financial
- Review incoming and outgoing invoices for accuracy and timeliness.
- Comply with finance procedures, including month-end closing activities.
- Liaise with the finance department as needed.
- Process supplier payments and enter amounts in both CargoWise and the financial spreadsheet.
- Manage and forward supplier receipts to the Finance Department.
General
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Act in alignment with the company’s values.
- Maintain a tidy and professional workspace.
- Support special projects and initiatives as directed.
- Report issues or concerns to the manager promptly.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Be a student of Graduation Level at Administration, International Relations, or Foreign Trade courses.
- English Skills level Intermediate.
- Familiarity with Cargo Wise’s Enterprise system a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
