FX Sales and Business Development - LatAm Sales Lead

Fluent continues to experience significant growth in its client base (Tier-1 to Tier-3 sell-side and buy-side participants) and develops next-generation products. We want to expand our global Sales footprint and company profile across LatAm.
Fluent seeks a senior/mid-senior individual to drive its technology sales and business development efforts in LatAm. The role demands that the individual be a self-starter, have extensive FX market knowledge and contacts, and have a proven track record in FX market trading technology sales.
The role and responsibilities:
- Drive sales and business development efforts across LatAm, ideally based in Brazil ,Chile or Mexico
- Establish, leverage and cultivate strong relationships with Tier-1 to Tier-3 participants and FX market LPs and venues
- Work towards becoming a key Fluent product suite expert
- Achieve and consistently surpass regional targets for the financial year
- Build, grow and track a prospect pipeline that leads to regularly closing new business
- Mining existing accounts for up-selling and cross-selling new opportunities
- Take ownership of RFI/RFP responses - optimising sale value and chances of prospect acceptance
- Where appropriate, facilitate the timely renewal of existing customer contracts for optimal value
- Contribute to the product strategies to enhance the product opportunity and marketability
Key knowledge/skills required:
- Local language, preferably Spanish and Portuguese
- A proven FX sales track record over the last 10 years, of consistently overachieving sales targets, is essential
- An extensive tier 1 to 3 relationship and contact network (including C-level) is essential
- Hungry self-starter, passionate, articulate professional with current/recent experience working in LatAm
- Experience in selling complex solutions within FX trading and technology
- High level of understanding of the financial markets across FX, from front to mid and back office, and knowledge of data and transaction technology lifecycle
- Presentation Skills: Proven ability to succinctly articulate the value proposition and differentiators to set Fluent solutions and products apart from the competition
- Experience in gathering detailed requirements at all organisational levels, with the ability to engage, persuade and influence the VP and C levels
- Strong team player who can effectively collaborate with various parts of the organisation remotely, with support, product, development, IT, QA and professional services
