Essential Job Functions:
- Interfacing with international suppliers and carriers;
- Managing and monitoring cargo during local transportation (Door to CFS);
- Monitoring and updating logistics performance indicators;
- Resolving problems related to delays, damages and non-conformities in the logistics process;
- Direct contact with international suppliers to align shipping deadlines and conditions;
- Coordinating and monitoring sea and air import processes;
- Issuing and checking import documents, such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, among others;
- Sending shipping confirmation and arrival notification;
- Providing cargo information to the customer, updating internal information systems – import monitoring;
- Analyzing and preparing reports;
- Recording incidents.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Knowledgeable of warehouse operations and freight/logistics optimization;
- Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, and presentation skills;
- Ability to develop and document processes and procedures;
- Proficient in the use of analytical techniques such as statistical probability distribution, correlation, data sampling and relating sets of numbers;
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Foreign Trade or related field required;
- Minimum 2 years related experience;
- Minimum 1 year industry experience preferred.
