Position Overview:
We are seeking a technically-minded Sales Assistant with expertise in customs clearance and logistics to support our growing operations in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have experience in the machinery, equipment, or AWP (Access Work Platform) industry, combined with strong sales coordination skills. This role requires fluency in English to facilitate seamless communication with our global supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Support & Customer Service
Process sales orders, prepare quotations, and track order fulfillment
Maintain accurate customer records in CRM system
Provide technical sales support for machinery/AWP products when needed
Generate weekly sales reports and market intelligence updates
Other sales support work
2. Customs & Logistics Management
Prepare and verify import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates)
Ensure full compliance with ANVISA, INMETRO and other Brazilian regulatory requirements
Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to optimize clearance processes
Track shipments and resolve any logistics delays or customs holdups
3. Cross-functional Coordination
Serve as liaison between Brazilian customers and international suppliers
Communicate technical specifications and shipping requirements in English
Support warranty claims and aftersales service coordination
Requirements
3+ years experience in sales support, preferably in machinery/equipment/AWP industry
Working knowledge of Brazilian import regulations (NCM codes, II, IPI, ICMS taxes)
Experience with Mercosur trade agreements and special import regimes (extariff, etc.)
Fluent English (B2+ level) for international correspondence
Proficient in MS Office (advanced Excel) and CRM systems
Preferred:
Technical understanding of construction equipment or aerial work platforms
Familiarity with industrial parts/components terminology
Experience using ERP systems for order management
