All about the role:
As a Technology Domain Engineer – Cooling Systems, you will be responsible for the design and development of advanced cooling system solutions for refrigerators and freezers, aligned with the global Technology Road Map. Your mission will be to deliver robust, high-quality, and standardized solutions that reduce complexity and enhance profitability.
You will lead the integration of key components such as compressors, heat exchangers, dryers, and valves to meet performance, energy efficiency, and noise requirements. You will also support the development of high-pressure modules and contribute to global strategies for condenser technologies (static, skin, dynamic, microchannel), door warmers, anti-moisture tubes, and electric step valves.
What you'll do:
Develop technical solutions for cooling system modules and components, from concept to production, including prototyping, testing, and post-launch improvements;
Create and maintain technical documentation in line with Electrolux Project Management methodology (e.g., specifications, test plans, DVRs, ECNs, BOMs);
Translate customer and marketing insights into executable product requirements;
Investigate and recommend optimized materials and manufacturing processes, integrating industry best practices and innovations;
Collaborate across technical domains to identify opportunities, validate consumer needs, and optimize designs;
Design complex air duct geometries (plastic and EPS) integrated with fan motors and dampers (mechanical or electronic);
Build functional prototypes using 3D printing and conduct design verification testing;
Drive innovation to create competitive advantages through novel technical solutions.
Who you are:
You have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (MSc or specialization in refrigeration is a plus);
Experience in developing refrigeration system components and solutions for automated manufacturing;
Knowledge of condenser and inverter compressor applications;
Proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA V5);
Experience in creating and executing test procedures to validate specifications;
Advanced English.
Where you'll be:
You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba – a key hub for Electrolux operations in Latin America, home to over 3,000 employees. Availability for national and international travel is required.
