Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety. Foster a culture where all team members are committed to safety and actively participate in the Safety Programs.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal company policies, while also encouraging colleagues to adopt a safety-first mindset. Develop, implement, and monitor quality management protocols and company safety procedures.
Be responsible for all aspects related to the identification of optimal locations for corn and soybean research trials, as well as the recruitment, contracting, and compensation of cooperators and growers.
Lead the execution of research trials, including planting and harvesting operations, crop management practices and field monitoring activities such as pest and disease scouting, to ensure high-quality trials and reliable results.
Be accountable for phenotyping and remote sensing activities to support the demand of corn and soybean breeding programs, ensuring that the necessary data are collected accurately, on time, and meet the data quality standards. Use technology, including internal and external applications, to collect, evaluate, and distribute data following detailed protocols.
Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during field trials and collaborate with team members to find solutions. Monitor process efficiencies, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and enhance accuracy.
Provide leadership to the local team and manage the operations of the Guarapuava satellite station, including handling recruitment, team management, interactions with third-party companies and financial matters. Cultivate a collaborative environment and promote the development of the subordinate team.
Plan, manage, and allocate resources such as equipment, materials, consumables (e.g. fertilizers, chemicals, seeds, packaging, and labels), and labor, to ensure timely and efficient completion of trials. Administer the inventory and storage of agrochemicals and field supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related fields, with postgraduate studies (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
At least three years of experience in research management and a strong agronomy background.
Experience with agricultural machinery operations (preferred).
Advanced English proficiency desired.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office programs and the capacity to learn new technologies and internal software.
Strong leadership, conflict management, proactivity, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and prioritize activities. Self-motivation and capacity to work independently while setting high expectations in a goal- and deadline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Category B or higher driver’s license.
Residence in Guarapuava-PR or nearby.
Availability for travel.
