About Us
At Billor, short for "Bill of Rights", we are building the largest trucking ecosystem in the U.S., focused on empowering truck drivers. By integrating FinTech, Technology, and Freight Management, we help drivers achieve truck ownership and enjoy a higher quality of life.
Our mission is grounded in freedom, responsibility, and efficiency, enabling drivers to maximize productivity and spend more time with their families.
We are now expanding our leadership team to build a “Bill of Rights” for Freight Brokers.
About the role
Apply advanced data science techniques to develop predictive models, generative models, and autonomous AI agents, with a focus on intelligent decision-making and interaction automation.
Act as a technical reference in highly complex projects involving data for logistics in the US Market.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end data science pipeline: problem definition, data collection and preparation (structured and unstructured), modeling, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
Work within cloud environments (preferably GCP; experience in AWS or Azure is also valued), leveraging tools like Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and GCS.
Design and deploy supervised predictive models (regression, classification, decision trees, ensemble methods, neural networks, time series) with a focus on real-world logistics and fintech applications.
Design and deploy generative AI models (LLMs, Transformers, GANs, VAEs, Diffusion Models) for content generation, data enrichment, and intelligent copilots.
Build autonomous AI agents with reasoning, memory, and integration capabilities using frameworks such as LangChain, Haystack, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to create advanced recommendation engines, freight copilots, and decision-support tools.
Program in Python with mastery of libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas and Hugging Face Transformers, as well as experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Drive MLOps practices (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, CI/CD, APIs) to ensure reproducibility, version control, and model reliability.
Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
Promote a data-centric culture by ensuring best practices in AI engineering, quality control, and experimentation.
Stay current with cutting-edge research, adapting the latest advancements in AI and ML to Billor’s use cases.
Requisitos:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, or a related technical role, with proven experience leading high-impact AI projects.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure is a plus).
- Expertise in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
- Solid understanding of MLOps workflows, (MLflow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience building and fine-tuning with generative AI and LLMs (e.g., Transformers, GPT, diffusion models).
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, SQL/NoSQL databases, and pipeline orchestration.
- Experience designing real-world AI applications for decision automation and complex data problems.
- Familiarity with freight, logistics, or fintech domains is a strong plus.
- Advanced English reading and interpretation skills (for technical papers and documentation).
