Key Responsibilities
- Maintain essential IT operations, including servers and their operating systems, security tools, applications, different services and email systems.
- Perform Server Administration tasks including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Monitor cloud health using pre-existing management tools and respond to virtual hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new virtual servers as needed.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including servers, firewalls, security updates, VPN, back-up jobs and monitoring systems
- Interact with the development team and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
- Provide 24/7 emergency support for issues outside of standard business hours.
- Provide phone, email and remote support to all incoming internal technical and customer queries.
- Monitor and coordinate the resolution of customer incidents, problems and queries in an effective and timely manner.
- Escalate client incidents in accordance with agreed and documented escalation procedures.
- Backup, disaster recovery, endpoint protection, system upgrades, planning and implementation.
- Help the company maintain 99.5% application uptime

- Ensure systems are secure and protected from breach or viruses
- Risk mitigation planning
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years AWS experience : specifically Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), GuardDuty, Cloudtrail, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Block Store (EBS) and Route53.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field is required.
- Strong Microsoft Server Experience including SQL Server 2016+ and IIS 8+.
- Experience with CDN technologies and WAF (eg. Cloudflare / Akamai / Cloudfront)
- Experience with configuring CI software such as Jenkins
- Excellent knowledge and management of DNS, networking, domain names and SSL.
- Experience with scripting languages like Powershell / Terraform.
- Professional usage and understanding of Linux
- Experience with Google Apps for business.
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure / Alicloud.
- Experience in other Amazon AWS offerings (eg. Containers, Serverless) is highly regarded.
