About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Risk and Compliance Engineering (RCE) has a mission to advance the maturity of governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) by owning and driving the technology strategy, products, and roadmap for GRC, to enable better-informed decision-making, fulfill audit and compliance obligations, and reduce risk exposure.
We are the PMO team that supports RCE. RCE builds and maintains P0 mission-critical products and tooling leveraged Google-wide for compliance.
Responsibilities
- Create the vision for and manage projects across the product life cycle: planning, feature prioritization, project management, testing, delivery, deployment, communication, and transition to maintenance mode.
- Identify and establish metrics driven process improvements to increase team efficiency and execution.
- Use your technical judgment to influence best outcomes both within the team, as well as with stakeholders and partners.
- Drive product excellence through assembly of project delivery success criteria and overseeing progress towards those success metrics.
- Act as the project go-to person, communicating status to leadership and stakeholders, identifying roadblocks and proposing go-forward solutions.
