This position plays a critical role in advancing the trade marketing agenda in Brazil, with a strategic emphasis on the Northeast region — a rapidly evolving market with significant untapped potential for the whiskey category and emerging spirits brands. The role spans the Emerging Brands portfolio, driving execution across both on and off-premise channels, and is instrumental in tailoring brand strategies to the unique dynamics of the Northeast. With rising consumer interest in premium and differentiated whiskey offerings, the region presents a compelling opportunity to build brand equity, drive trial, and accelerate growth. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, requiring close alignment with internal teams (marketing, sales, finance, supply chain) and external stakeholders (distributors, agencies, suppliers). The professional must lead through influence and example, fostering strong partnerships that enable agile execution and local relevance.
A high level of organization is essential for managing the A&P budget, ensuring compliance across all initiatives, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Delivering trade marketing programs on time and in full across channels is key to unlocking the full potential of emerging brands in the Northeast — a region poised to become a growth engine for whiskey in Brazil.
What You Can Expect:
- Be a champion of the Emerging Brands in Brazil.
- Support the trade marketing plan by working closely with a cross-functional team, delivering actionable insights, learnings, and locally relevant ideas that unlock growth in the Brazilian Northeast — a region of rising strategic importance for the whiskey category and a fertile ground for emerging brands . Focused on channel, customer, and consumer dynamics, this role plays a key part in adapting national strategies to regional opportunities, driving brand relevance, and accelerating market penetration as premium spirits gain momentum.
- Support the trade marketing plan, working closely with a multi-functional team by providing valuable insights, learnings, and ideas focused on the region (channel, customer, consumer)
- Be the key point of contact within the Trade Marketing team to support the sales team, working closely with the Regional Managers and Sales Representatives.
- Make sure PICOS are up to date using the latest market and consumer insights available
- Advocate for the Emerging Brands with other areas bringing risks and opportunities to influence plans and PICOS
- Monitor brands' performance by harvesting and analyzing the data from the market and consumer research tools (Brand Track, IWSR, Nielsen) to support the decision-making process and update the On and Off Premise Channel Dashboard monthly.
- Lead the implementation of the trade marketing plan in partnership with our sales team and distributor partners, ensuring all activities are executed on time and in full across all markets.
- Responsible for evaluating Tailormade opportunities within the channels and coordinating the implementation with agency partners and the sales team.
- Focus on developing our Emerging Brands portfolio across the Northeast region.
- Lead the operational agenda.
- Control the Trade Marketing A&P budget for all Emerging Brands, reporting monthly to the Trade Marketing Manager PUB.
- Lead the POS Materials management from planning, producing, logistics, and making sure they are implemented following PICOS guidelines.
- Monitor competitors' activities within the Brazil region and propose initiatives to protect our brands.
- Support and monitor incentive campaigns with on and off-premise stakeholders.
- Conduct on- and off-premise visits monthly to gather field insights.
- Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, learning, and high performance.
- Exercise collaboration with:
- Brand teams ensure that all initiatives are compliant with brand guidelines and exchange best practices.
- Sales teams and Distributor partners to ensure we are providing all the necessary tools and that trade marketing plans and tactics are appropriate for field-based brand-building activities.
- Finance team to make sure all activities are under compliance and all processes are being implemented as needed (accruals, budget reporting, forecasting, etc).
- External agencies ensure they have all the necessary information (through the briefing process) to create efficient solutions to our challenges.
- Ensure that every relevant activity has a post-mortem report with a clear learning agenda and actionable results.
- Complete all trainings provided by Brown-Forman to increase professional capabilities.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communication.
- 2-3 years of experience in similar sales and marketing or trade marketing positions.
- Verbal and written communication in English.
- Advanced Excel, Budget control, and Basic marketing knowledge.
- Responsibility, commitment, dynamism, hands-on, initiative, proactivity, and creativity.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
What Makes You Unique:
- Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry.
- Familiarity with market research tools (Nielsen, Neogrid, Scanntech, etc).
