About the role
In an era where decision-making is increasingly driven by data and analytic insights, maintaining the integrity and compliance of financial operations is paramount. Our Finance Controls team at Nubank is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic-minded professional to ensure the integrity, compliance, and validation of our TAX area processes. You'll be pivotal in establishing robust controls that enhance the integrity of our financial data and ensure that our financial strategies are not only effective but also sustainable and transparent.
As a Finance Controls Analyst, you will be focusing on the validation and auditing of TAX processes and data integrity. You will play a key role in ensuring all finance-related actions are compliant with regulatory standards and internal policies. This position demands a deep understanding of financial compliance and a strategic mindset focused on enhancing internal controls and safeguarding organizational integrity.
You will be responsible for
- Conduct thorough audits of tax-related data and processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
- Validate data integrity for reports submitted to regulators and external auditors.
- Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor and enhance TAX area performance.
- Collaborate with the TAX area to provide guidance on process improvements.
- Serve as an independent validator for tax-related initiatives and business projects.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on compliance findings and recommendations.
- Proactively identify areas of potential risk and collaborate on strategies to mitigate them.
We are looking for a person who has
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Legal, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial control, audit, accounting or tax compliance.
- In-depth understanding of tax strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity and process efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in English, with the ability to participate in meetings, draft reports, and deliver presentations.
- Experience with financial control frameworks and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or similar technologies is a plus.
