Job Description – Maintenance Technician
Main Responsibilities:
Execute safety lockout/tagout procedures for performing corrective mechanical, electrical, or electronic maintenance on machines and equipment, including pumps, valves, implements, electric motors, electric switches, transformers, contactors, and relays.
Identify faults, carry out repairs, replace cables, parts, and electrical components, and test systems based on electrical diagrams and other specifications, using appropriate electrical and electronic measurement tools and instruments to ensure proper operation of cables and power networks.
Perform preventive mechanical, electrical, or electronic maintenance, including assembly, installations, periodic inspections, adjustments, calibrations, and lubrication to detect potential issues, prevent equipment failures, and ensure the longevity of machines and systems.
Verify the results of completed tasks by testing machines and equipment to ensure they function within the required operational conditions.
Record and manage materials needed for various tasks, requesting missing items for purchasing in order to prevent service delays or interruptions.
Remove materials and waste generated during maintenance procedures.
Maintain accurate records of executed activities.
Ensure individual and collective safety, using the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all maintenance activities.
Take care of the storage, upkeep, conservation, and cleanliness of tools, machinery, equipment, materials, and work areas — including those where services are performed.
Perform related and complementary activities as required.
Education:
Technical degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics, or Electromechanics.
