Position Summary
Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiac Diagnostic Department.
The Cardiology Department provides an extensive range of cardiac services to inpatients and outpatients. These services include outpatient consultations, echocardiography, non-invasive testing (ECG, Holter monitoring), coronary angiography and percutaneous intervention for coronary and non-coronary applications (congenital and valvular), electrophysiological testing and ablation and device implantation (pacemaker, ICD). The department provides 24-hour echocardiography and cardiac catheterisation laboratory services for acute myocardial infarction. In-patients are managed predominantly in the 30-bed Cardiac and Thoracic Unit on Ward 5 East. The department has links to the University of Melbourne and a major involvement in teaching, training and research at under-graduate and post-graduate levels for both nursing and medical staff.

We have a full time EP/Pacing/Cath Lab & Echo educators whose job is to assist with education and training for all staff, there are weekly teaching sessions for staff to attend. This is a single Full time position and classification is dependant on the successful applicants experience.
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate an understanding of the principles of cardiac technology and the results generated

Key responsibilities will include:

Independently perform high quality recordings requiring expertise and use appropriate judgement when acting on the findings for Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitors & Event Monitors.
Have experience in Cardiac Catheterisation procedures.
Obtain relevant patient information and communicate with patients effectively and professionally
