As a Commercial Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in translating strategy into execution by leveraging data, insights, tools, and processes to enhance sales force effectiveness and drive business growth. You will support commercial performance monitoring, lead process optimization initiatives, enable better use of sales tools, and deliver actionable business insights. Your work will directly contribute to improved commercial execution, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
In this role you will…
- Commercial Process Optimization: Research and develop effective solutions to scale commercial operations, minimize manual workarounds, and enhance overall efficiency. This includes sizing, territory design, deployment, call planning, quota setting, and territory planning. Lead internal process improvements by streamlining workflows and resolving any ambiguities or conflicting requirements. Provide training to commercial team members as needed, continuously evaluating feedback and training effectiveness, and adapting communication style according to the audience.
- Commercial Performance Monitoring: Support Commercial Leaders by monitoring sales team execution and performance against targets and KPIs, proactively identifying areas for improvement. Recommend enhancements to KPI tracking using available data sources to focus on the most effective growth drivers. Provide insights using existing metrics and develop new metrics to enhance performance tracking.
- Business Insights: Conduct strategic analyses, assess business performance, and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making and guide business strategy.
- Sales Tools Support: Identify necessary functionalities and plan implementation in partnership with the CRM Lead. Promote disciplined tool usage across the organization. Provide training and support to commercial team members to ensure maximum utilization, effectiveness, and high-quality data entry.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions.
- Relationships: Stay close to various teams (e.g., through field days and shadowing experiences) to understand their needs and build strong relationships across functions—Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Support, Customer Support, and more—to influence change and gain support.
In this role, you’ll need…
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in Commercial Operations / Commercial Excellence / Business Intelligence / Sales Force Effectiveness.
- English: Advanced.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Experience in defining, refining and implementing sales processes and procedures, building reports for its measurement.
- Analytical and results-oriented mindset to identify relevant information and relate it to the company's strategic challenges. Handle large datasets and extract actionable insights related to opportunities or to address problems at their root cause, plan improvement roadmaps, implement changes, monitor progress, and report outcomes.
- Proactively seek out necessary information, hand diverse inputs and areas to achieve results. Even when faced with unexpected obstacles, persistently work toward achieving outcomes. Embracing creativity in sourcing information, adapting to new contexts, and maintaining autonomy to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Communicate effectively, acting and speaking with confidence. Communicate cross-functionally with diverse groups and functions to gather business requirements, develop user stories, drive timely solutions. Break down complex technical concepts into simple business language.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams, supporting multiple projects in different stages simultaneously. Balance various tasks and priorities, consistently meeting deadlines. Even under pressure, maintain a 'can-do' attitude and resilience.
- Analyze a specific matter from beginning to end and bring simple, consistent, and data-driven and fast actions to solve problems with minimal direction. Translate data into actionable insights and use logical reasoning to demonstrate rationale behind recommendations, achieving consensus around proposed outcomes.
- Dynamic and action-oriented, approach tasks with a high level of execution. Take ownership of the work.
- Teamwork and consistently foster connections across different areas of the company.
