Global Compliance
The Compliance division plays a critical role in managing Goldman Sachs' regulatory structure, maintaining adequate policies, procedures, and controls to comply with internal and external regulatory requirements. The division's mission is to manage and mitigate the company's regulatory and reputational risks, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. The Compliance division monitors trends and changes in regulations across all jurisdictions in which Goldman Sachs operates, developing and implementing divisional policies and procedures. In addition to advising Goldman Sachs' businesses, Compliance is responsible for relationships with regulators and self-regulatory organizations, monitoring audits and consultations, monitoring market operations, testing the company's risk management infrastructure, and training staff. This position is for Senior Analyst for Surveillance Compliance, responsible for monitoring transactions of Goldman Sachs' trading desks as well as monitoring potential cases of money laundering/terrorist financing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitoring operations across various trading desks;
- Creation and improvement of scenarios to identify potential market manipulation;
- Relationship with global trade surveillance areas;
- Investigation and identification of potential cases of market anomalies.
The prerequisites for the position are:
- 2 years of experience in Financial Institutions;
- Fluency in English for both conversation and writing;
- Investigative mindset;
- Previous knowledge/contact with the Compliance area, especially investigation areas within Compliance;
- Previous knowledge/contact with surveillance systems (SMARTS, Actimize, BTCA, SAGE) will be a differential;
- Knowledge of programming (VBA, Python).
