Join 3M as Demand Planner and play a key role in leading the sales operation planning – demand review pillar to create an unbiased demand plan with the highest accuracy possible for the Consumer Business Group. In this role you will be able to collaborate with functional teams across America. This position is located in Sumaré, Brazil and provides support to Brazil and South America.
The Impact You’ll Make in This Role:
- Lead the Sales and Operation Planning – Demand Review at a regional level (Brazil and South America) to generate an unbiased demand plan aligned with the sales business plan, ensuring data integrity in SAP and local systems.
- Address actions to close gaps between the demand plan and sales plan, supporting the Consumer Business Group through data analytics and continuous process improvement.
- Align the business portfolio strategy with the demand plan through the Portfolio Review process, considering new products, end-of-life, and phase-in/phase-out.
- Collaborate with business finance and sales managers to obtain current sales goals and reductions, ensuring alignment with demand planning.
- Support the Supply and Production Planning organization by providing key inputs for developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Gather, analyze, and incorporate market intelligence from sources like Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR), Sales, and Marketing into the demand plan, managing seasonal items and incremental sales based on a 12-month rolling calendar.
- Leverage forecast performance metrics to measure accuracy, assess forecast bias, and identify sources of error, collaborating with customer service and supply planning to update regional reports and propose actions to improve or reduce risk.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Previous experience in Demand Planning.
- Experience in Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, or Customer Service departments.
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and intermediate proficiency in Spanish
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and self-motivation skills.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience in Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, and/or Marketing.
- Knowledge of Supply Planning (SP), Production Planning (PP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and/or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- High analytical skills and familiarity with tools like Power BI and Minitab.
- Experience working on cross-functional and international teams.
- APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification or IBF Advanced Forecaster certification.
- Experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies.
Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week in the office located in Sumaré, São Paulo (SP).
