We are seeking a Facilities Services Manager to be based in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
The FM Hard Services Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the site’s facilities hard services, including utilities generation and distribution (energy, steam, potable water, compressed air, chilled water), waste water treatment, HVAC operation, building maintenance, calibration, and tooling services.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal, external, quality, EHS&S, and legal requirements for facilities operations.
- Managing relationships with outsourcing partners, internal functions, business customers, and authorities.
- Overseeing the continuous improvement of facilities services to ensure high performance, reliability, and availability for manufacturing, laboratories, offices, logistics, and services areas.
- Supporting project development and delivery for capital and infrastructure projects, coordinating with contractors and business units during planning and construction phases.
- Implementing and maintaining business continuity plans and infrastructure management programs.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and innovations within facilities operations.
- Managing third-party service contracts and ensuring contracted services meet company standards.
- Leading cross-sector activities supporting the Yellow Line concept and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring key performance metrics, benchmarks, and best practices across the region to foster a high-performance culture.
- Ensuring site compliance with Good Manufacturing, Laboratory, and Commercial Practices, as well as local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Facilities Hard Services, including utilities, HVAC, building maintenance, calibration, and spare parts management.
- Lead and supervise multi-functional teams, including internal staff and third-party vendors.
- Develop and execute strategic facilities maintenance and operations plans.
- Lead projects focused on innovation, cost reduction, and process improvement.
- Ensure achievement of key business indicators related to safety, quality, efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Manage contracts and third-party services to meet operational needs.
- Support inspections, audits, and compliance activities, ensuring all standards are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Architecture, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or production environments.
- Proven leadership skills managing multi-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Strong budget, financial, and project management skills.
- Excellent technical knowledge of facilities systems and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Ability to adapt to emerging industry best practices and innovations.
- Fluency in English.
