All about the role:
As a Junior Development Engineer within the R&D Freestanding Cookers Architecture and Mechanical Module Team, you will be involved in the development of new products, cost reduction initiatives, and quality improvements. From the initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, and final implementation, you will play a key role in shaping innovative and reliable solutions.
What you'll do:
Develop and optimize components, subgroups, and modules in line with global strategies and regional needs;
Design and validate mechanical components and systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, manufacturability, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness;
Drive the execution of mechanical development activities and support technical documentation;
Support the definition of test procedures and collaborate with internal and external laboratories for test analysis and technical solutions;
Develop and validate designs using CAD/CAE tools and prototype testing;
Participate in system/component reviews, ensuring standardization and modularization;
Contribute to supplier evaluation and selection processes;
Monitor and implement changes in systems and support product approvals;
Provide technical input for product literature, BOMs, labels, and manuals;
Support project leaders with documentation, planning, and prototype development;
Foster strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (Electrolux Always Improve).
Who you are:
You have:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
Experience with 3D modeling tools (preferably CATIA V5);
Knowledge of GD&T and quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, tolerance analysis) is a plus;
Understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and assembly principles is plus;
Experience with stamping and injection molding processes is a plus;
Advanced English.
