Position Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Remote - LATAM
What you will be doing:
As a Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs with technical solutions across sales and finance, analyzing data roadmaps, identifying gaps, and translating requirements into actionable insights. You’ll gather requirements using tools like Jira, Confluence, or ClickUp, apply advanced SQL in Snowflake for data analysis, and create robust reports in Power BI. The role includes managing Agile workflows in Jira, coordinating with data engineers, ensuring data governance compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and support strategic business decisions.
- Analyze and review departmental data roadmaps to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities, particularly within sales and finance domains.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and clarify business needs, effectively translating them into actionable requirements using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ClickUp.
- Leverage advanced SQL skills in Snowflake to extract, manipulate, and analyze data, supporting business decision-making and reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI to enable effective business intelligence and analytics.
- Create and manage tasks for data engineers in Jira, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
- Implement, optimize, and oversee Kanban or Agile workflows to improve project flow, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate workload management in cross-functional teams, prioritizing initiatives and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Facilitate clear communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to align priorities and objectives.
- Monitor project progress, proactively adjust plans, and adapt to evolving business needs in a dynamic environment.
- Support the implementation and operationalization of data governance and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA, maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in business processes and strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven environments, with a focus on sales or finance domains
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and intermediate experience with Snowflake for complex data querying, extraction, and analysis
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing Power BI for data visualization, analytics, and reporting
- Intermediate experience with Jira for task creation, workload management, and project coordination; familiarity with Confluence or ClickUp for documentation and collaboration
- Proven ability to create, optimize, and manage Kanban or Agile workflows for process improvement and efficient project delivery
- Strong analytical skills with aptitude for interpreting and working with complex data sets
- Foundational understanding and practical involvement in operationalizing data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the ability to articulate business requirements and technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic environments
