The Senior Business Unit Director manages a team of BU managers and directors to achieve financial goals of assigned country cluster, holds full P&L responsibility. Sets BU strategy for Latin America region, leading commercial, strategy , marketing and Professional education teams and represents LATAM region on global BU meetings and seats on LATAM Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops and leads implementation of the strategy of the Surgical BU on a regional level in accordance with global strategic objectives while anticipating, identifying and interpreting market trends, dynamics and implications, applying this knowledge to the management of the business for the long term
• Aligns countries to regional strategy and drives strategy execution to achieve financial goals while negotiating with and influencing the opinions of others, both internally and externally and often on executive level
• Design and execute market expansion and professional education strategies to increase therapy adoption of surgical procedures in the region
Defines portfolio strategies enabling Edwards surgical innovation to penetrate in LATAM
• Collaborate cross BU and areas to enable accelerated growth of Edwards in the region accessing more patients with SHD
• Partner with finance team to develop strategic plan of 7 years and Annual Operating Plan that is challenging and feasible and present both plans at global BU and regional forum to senior leadership of Edwards
• Maintains effective relationships with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at hospitals and GPOs while influencing broader BU strategy based on business and industry knowledge

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in related field extensive progressive marketing , strategy experience Required and
Demonstrated successful track record of organizational leadership Required and
extensive medical devices industry experience preffered or related LifesciencesProven track record of leading organizations thru massive growth and turn arounds.
Experience in managing regional P&L with financial mindset that enables sustainable growth
Seniority to represent Surgical LATAM BU at global forums
