About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineer Specialist to join our Operational Risk team. This role is central to shaping and scaling our Operational Risk Database (BDRO) globally, while driving innovation in quantitative non-financial risk management.
If you have a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and stakeholder leadership—and are passionate about using data to transform risk strategies—this role is for you. You’ll help build a robust risk culture that not only ensures regulatory compliance but also leverages cutting-edge practices to fuel sustainable growth.
Your mission: deliver a regulatory-compliant BDRO that evolves into a global risk data platform. You’ll lead on architecture, dataset design, controls, indicators, and models that enable smarter, data-driven decision-making across risk teams worldwide. You`ll be responsible for
- Lead the design, development, and global rollout of the Operational Risk Database, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal frameworks.
- Assess and enhance BDRO architecture, ensuring scalability and compliance.
- Translate complex data models into clear, structured datasets that meet regulatory standards.
- Design and implement data quality controls and governance mechanisms.
- Integrate multiple data sources to create key indicators and risk models.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
- Champion technical excellence and best practices within the team.
- Strong foundation in analytics engineering, data modeling, and advanced analysis techniques.
- Experience with Big Data and large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of deployment pipelines and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with data platforms and tools (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Soda).
- A solid grasp of risk management principles and the skill to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable strategies is a plus.
