Service contracts, tenders, RFQs, business development for allocated region and provide support to Sea Logistics organization, in accordance to the Asia Trade Strategy in Santiago (Sao MS-TD).
How you create impact
- Responsible for responding to tenders and RFQs, together with Sao MS-TD – overall responsible for end to end pricing
- Develop relationships with carriers to achieve best possible rates, allocation and service
- Interface with customers to provide product and market expertise
- Participate in sales meetings for selected customers – jointly with FS-CV’s, NKAM’s and GKAM’s
- Negotiate and maintain competitive rates for all segments.
- Monitor ALL local charges
- Establish country’s requested rates with carriers (for named accounts requests)
- Understand country’s needs and negotiate specific requirements with target carriers e.g. space protection / allocation, free time on demurrage and detention
- Monitor BO bookings and lifting and monthly budget reports which shows countries’ performance and target carriers’ adherence
- Monitor key accounts’ performance, rates and resolve any space/equipment issues
- Develop and improve assigned trade lanes by research and innovative action as well as strategic planning
- Ensure efficient flow of information concerning carriers’ activities and market development to management
- Provide updated information on carriers’ situation and changes in sea freight surcharges
- Develop and maintain relations with global Sea freight carriers with head offices in LATAM / US / Europe
- Discuss and initiate actions to solve problem e.g. space or equipment constraint.
- Obtain updated information from ocean carriers on latest rate implementation from the conference.
- Establish targets with carriers & monitor volume performance
- Establish and monitor space protection with target carriers
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Senior-level experience in trade management, commercial operations, and pricing processes.
- Previous experience working with Latin American countries.
- A plus: knowledge of dry cargo and LCL.
- Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
