About the Role
We are seeking a results-oriented and data-driven Logistics Specialist to support the execution and continuous improvement of Terradot’s national logistics strategy. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient, reliable, and cost-effective movement of large-scale volumes of basalt rock across Brazil—from quarry to field.
As Terradot transitions to a process-driven operation and scales its carbon removal deployments, logistics becomes a strategic pillar of our success. The Logistics Specialist will work cross-functionally with the SOP, Deployment, and Operations teams to ensure that every freight operation is planned, tracked, optimized, and executed with excellence.
We are hiring the Logistics Specialist to:
Execute freight planning and control under a centralized Control Tower model.
Bring strong logistics acumen to track and optimize every movement in real time.
Ensure backhaul opportunities are captured through structured carrier engagement.
Serve as a key point of contact for trucking partners, bridging platform (e.g., GoFlux) capabilities and field needs.
Act as the operational owner for freight KPIs, performance analysis, and execution troubleshooting.
Role Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute the transportation of basalt rock from supplier quarries to field deployment locations.
Manage freight bookings and dispatching via digital platforms (e.g., GoFlux), ensuring real-time visibility and tracking.
Identify and analyze cost outliers, negotiate rates where applicable, and ensure consistent freight cost control.
Monitor fleet performance, service levels, and delivery timelines, escalating deviations as necessary.
Support the deployment and day-to-day operation of the Control Tower framework for logistics management.
Maintain relationships with key trucking providers, driving consistent engagement to support backhaul availability.
Track and report on logistics KPIs (e.g., cost/ton-km, on-time rate, utilization rate), surfacing insights to inform strategy.
Collaborate with SOP and Deployment teams to ensure alignment between freight plans and project timelines.
Assist in the development and rollout of logistics standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in route planning, load optimization, and carrier onboarding.
What Success Looks Like (90 Days, 6 Months, 12 Months)
In the First 90 Days
Become fully integrated into the logistics execution flow and GoFlux platform.
Deliver structured tracking and reporting tools for freight visibility.
Build strong working relationships with top transport providers and field execution teams.
Deliver savings and improved reliability through active cost and service control.
In 6–12 Months
Institutionalize a consistent Control Tower rhythm for all deployments.
Reduce average freight costs through efficiency initiatives and backhaul optimization.
Drive national freight execution with consistency, visibility, and proactive issue resolution.
Help Terradot scale deployments 3x with no increase in operational friction or logistics overhead.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in freight execution, logistics operations, or supply chain management.
Proven track record in managing and optimizing road freight logistics at scale.
Hands-on experience with logistics platforms, digital freight matching, or control towers.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to extract insights from operational data.
Excellent coordination and communication skills, particularly in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Ownership mindset with a strong bias toward execution and continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in field logistics for agribusiness, mining, or industrial projects.
Familiarity with national trucking networks, backhaul economics, and freight procurement.
Exposure to startup or scale-up environments.
Experience integrating logistics with broader planning and deployment processes.
Compensation
Market-competitive compensation, based on qualifications and performance, with structured opportunities for professional development and growth within Terradot.
