ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our HR Compliance Specialist, you will be the guardian of our workplace culture and legal integrity in Brazil. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will act as a trusted advisor on all matters related to employee relations and labor law. You will step in as a neutral and objective partner to conduct investigations, mediate conflicts, and guide leaders through complex people challenges. Your ultimate goal is to ensure a fair, respectful, and compliant environment where both employees and the business can thrive.
Responsabilities:
- Partner cross-functionally with relevant stakeholder groups to coordinate, direct, and conduct internal investigations and strengthen organizational justice across the workplace.
- Monitor and manage the operation of the Integrity Helpline and other communications channels to ensure that employee questions and concerns are addressed and that incidents are appropriately assigned, investigated, and resolved in compliance with internal procedures.
- Maintain and enhance the operations, procedures, and processes governing compliance-directed investigations.
- Socialize investigation learnings with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to support remediation, control enhancement, and enhancement of compliance culture.
- Develop comprehensive solutions for the HR compliance framework, including risk mitigation strategies, ensuring implementation and monitoring performance.
- Review and assess HR policies for compliance, offering recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
- Work closely with legal and stay updated on evolving labor regulations, assess potential risks, and provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
- Assist in facilitating compliance management training
- Coordinate compliance efforts across departments and provide support for HR-related compliance issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on Employee Relations and Brazilian Labor Law.
- Demonstrated experience conducting internal investigations and managing complex employee cases from intake to resolution.
- In-depth, expert-level knowledge of Brazilian Labor Law (CLT) and its practical application in employee relations scenarios.
- Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to communicate and work across functions to drive projects, identify and resolve legal and business issues pragmatically, and earn the confidence of and cooperation of your business partners, including executive leadership.
- Solid understanding of best practices for workplace investigations.
- Knowledge of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) as it applies to sensitive employee data.
- Effective communication skills with exceptional writing and speaking skills, including an excellent executive presence.
- Fluent in both Portuguese and English
