About the Team

The Roku TV team is looking for a senior level Product/Partner Manager to work closely with Roku TV factories, OEM brands, and various internal groups to bring new Roku TV models to market in Latin America. Your TV technical, product, and partner management experience will help you identify and communicate technical requirements and product features to internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

The relationships you develop with our partners will empower you to articulate their perspective on product features and create common understanding and alignment. You will negotiate effectively with the partners to positively influence the way they collaborate with Roku. From time to time, you may be required to author feature guides and technical notes enabling the team to develop and qualify new Roku TV models for your partners. You will also coordinate the release of Roku OS and other SW deliveries to the partners and ensure that such releases meet or exceed Roku’s rigorous quality expectations. Location can be Sao Paulo (Brazil) or Santiago (Chile), with the ability to travel within and beyond Latin America as needed.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the product and technical relationship with Roku TV partners in the Latin American market
  • Coordinate with the Roku TV business and marketing teams to cultivate and bolster successful TV partnerships
  • Work with the TV partners to establish short term and multi-year product roadmaps
  • Participate in quarterly business and technical reviews with the partners, working closely with internal business, marketing, PR, and engineering teams
  • Advocate product issues on behalf of the partners within Roku and influence internal teams to resolve the issues in a timely manner
  • Understand and analyze partners’ requirements and translate them to product requirement documents and feature guides.
  • Act as an escalation point for Customer Service issues for the partners and guide such escalations to successful resolution for Roku and the partner
  • Work with the partners to address HW-related defects reported by customers and reviewers
  • Manage periodic OS and SW releases to the partners
  • Arbitrate technical discussions between Roku engineering and partners/factories regarding product features, bugs, and defects
  • Support program kick-off meetings with the factories and brand partners
  • Own critical aspects of Roku’s scaling initiatives in Latin America

We're excited if you have

  • Engineering/technical background with very good understanding of HW and SW
  • Partner and product management background in similar roles: minimum 5+ years in TV industry / 10+ years in consumer electronics
  • Excellent knowledge of Latin American TV technology, applications, and standards
  • Outstanding negotiation and partner management skills, leveraging your strong technical background
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills in English and Spanish/Portuguese
  • Tri-lingual capability (English, Spanish, Portuguese) is highly desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related discipline is required

The Roku Culture

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
